Our goal is to build and support a workforce equipped to advance human and nonhuman rights, health, and justice in our more-than-human world.

Objectives

  • Empower the next generation of leaders with knowledge of the links between human and nonhuman rights, health, and justice.
  • Support educational and research endeavors that promote inclusive social, economic, and legal frameworks and expand health and justice for all.
  • Improve cross-sectoral collaboration among health, legal, and other professionals to advance universal determinants of health, including the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

Why Now?

Interest in universal rights, health, and justice is growing. As a relatively new area of work and study, the field deserves a formal institute that can serve as a home for students, scholars, and practitioners who are genuinely dedicated to improving our more-than-human world.
